    Destination Homes was established on January 1, 2002 by lifelong friends and Davis County natives David Bailey and Brad Wilson.

    Q.Is Destination Homes a developer or a builder?
    A.

    As Utah’s trusted homebuilder, Destination Homes has been recognized as the Northern Wasatch Home Builder of the Year. Over the 15 years, Destination Homes has partnered with other developers in building communities as well as developing communities on its own. Destination Homes was incorporated into the Larry H. Miller Group of Companies in 2022.

    Destination Homes has built more than 2,000 homes along the Wasatch Front in the past 20 years. Destination Homes has built beautiful homes and lasting communities throughout Utah, including being selected as one of the original builders in Daybreak in South Jordan.

    Q.Where are the headquarters for Destination Homes?

    Destination Homes’ corporate offices started out in Layton, Utah. They relocated to the Jordan Commons Office Tower in Sandy, Utah in 2023.

    The talented and dedicated team of approximately 60 full-time employees works closely with hundreds of skilled craftsman in Utah to build homes for individuals and families who want a Destination Home.

    Destination Homes provides homeowners and soon-to-be homeowners a variety of home designs, prices and locations. From town homes to custom single-family homes, Destination Homes’ prices range from the $400s to the $900s.

    Q:Where does Destination Homes build?

    Since Destination Homes started in 2001, they have built homes primarily along the Wasatch Front in suburbs outside of Salt Lake City. Communities have been built in Weber County, Davis County, Salt Lake County and Utah County. For a list of current communities and their locations, see our 'Communities' page.

    Q:Will Destination Homes build on my lot?
    A:

    Destination Homes is currently building within its own communities rather than be an 'on your lot' builder.

    Q:Who do I contact to discuss land I'd like to develop with Destination Homes?
    A:

    Please reach out through our online chat to our Online Sales Counselor regarding land inquiries. We'll be happy to connect you with our land team.

    Q:Does Destination Homes allow for sweat equity?
    A:

    Outside of considering buyers who are licensed contractors for sweat equity, Destination Homes is not currently allowing sweat equity. Please contact our Online Sales Counselor for more details.

    Q:Do Destination Homes communities all have Home Owner Associations (HOAs)?
    A:

    Each Destination Homes community is different. Some of our communities do not have HOAs, while some do. Please contact our Online Sales Counselor or visit a sales agent in one of our model homes for specific HOA information.

    Q:Where can I find the cost of Destination Homes floor plans?
    A:

    Many of our floor plans are built in different communities. In these circumstances pricing can vary. To locate the base price of a floor plan, go click on your community of interest, and then go to the floor plan tab. Published pricing will appear on the floor plan listing. If the price of a floor plan is unlisted, contact us to find out when that information will become available.

    Q:How long does it take to build a Destination Homes home?
    A:

    Construction times will vary in different seasons of the year. Generally our construction schedule for Single-family homes is 120 from the dig date, and 150 days for townhomes.

    Q:Does Destination Homes build any active adult 55+ communities?
    A:

    Destination Homes is not currently building in any active adult communities.

    Q:Do each of your communities have a model home?
    A:

    Most all of our communities have a decorated model home. The few that don't are by appointment only. Contact our Online Sales Counselor to plan your trip and to set an appointment to tour any of our models, communities or inventory homes.
