What began almost 30 years ago, as two best friends building a 2-story hut where their back yards met, is now one of North Utah's most respected home builders.
Timeline:
- July 24, 1979 - Brad and David start their home building with a 2-story hut they build where their two back yards met.
- 1996 - David begins building on his own after working for his father Steve.
- 2001 - Bailey Homes is changed to Destination Homes when Brad partners with brothers David & Kevin.
- 2002 - Destination Homes builds in its first exclusive community Hawthorn Estates in Syracuse, UT.
- 2003 - Destination Homes main office location changes from Kaysville to Layton.
- 2004 - Destination Homes completes the first home in South Jordan's Daybreak Community
- 2005 - Destination Homes makes its way into the top 10 builders along the Wasatch Front.
- 2006 - Destination Homes CEO named one of Utah Business Magazine's "Top 40 under 40"
- 2007 - Destination Homes opens its new main office building in Layton for business. The construction of the office building was part of an effort to help renovate downtown Layton near Gentile and Main St.
- 2007 - Destination Homes opens largest Design Center in Utah north of Salt Lake City.
- 2008 - Destination Homes Partners with Build Green Utah. A member-driven organization comprised of proactive builders, architects, and associates that are investing in an environmentally sound, socially supportive, and economically healthy future for the community

- 2003 - NWHBA names Destination Homes as the Homebuilder of the Year.
- 2004 - Destination Homes founder David S. Bailey serves as President of the NWHBA.
- 2005 - Destination Homes makes its way into the top 10 builders along the Wasatch Front.
- 2006 - Brad Wilson is the recipient of the Chamber of Commerce Advance Business Prosperity award.
- 2006 - Destination Homes CEO named one of Utah Business Magazine's "Top 40 under 40".
- 2006 - Sustainability Award Daybreak presented by Kennecott.
- 2007 - Destination Homes is given the Davis Chamber of Commerce annual Unite the Business Community award.
- 2007 - Destination Homes is recognized to be one of 2-10 Warranty's nationaly exclusive Diamond Builders for customer satisfaction.
- 2008 - President Brad Wilson is named chair of Davis Exonomic Advisory Council.
